No classes Monday at 23 Philippine City colleges, universities

A total of 23 colleges and universities in the Philippine city of Quezon will have no classes on Monday, July 25, on occasion of President Benigno Aquino's State of the Nation Address, the city government said Saturday.

Gregorio Banacia, chief of the Public Affairs and Information Service Office, said the class suspension was based on an order of Mayor Herbert Bautista.

The higher education institutions are as follows: ABE International Business College (Commonwealth); Access Computer College (Lagro); AMA Computer College (Fairview); Asia School of Arts and Sciences; Asian Institute of Computer Studies; Ateneo de Manila University; Bestlink Institute of Information Technology; Colegio de Sta Teresita de Avila; Datamex -- College of St. Adeline (Fairview); Diliman Computer Technology Institute;

FEU-FERN College and Dr. Nicanor Reyes Medical Foundation; Institute of Community and Family Health; Mary the Queen College; Metro Manila College; Miriam College; National College of Business and the Arts (Fairview); New Era University;

Our Lady of Fatima University; St. Anthony Mary Claret College; St. Bernadette of Lourdes College; St. Dominic Institute; STI Fairview; University of the Philippines Diliman.
