Globe services disrupted anew

The services of Globe Telecom are "back to normal" after its network experienced an outage problem, the mobile service provider confirmed through its Twitter account Tuesday night.

In a reply to a number of complaining mobile users, Globe, through its Twitter account @talk2GLOBE, apologized for the inconvenience and advised users to restart their phones as services have normalized.

“We experienced a surge in calls and texts that caused temporary congestion," the company explained through @talk2GLOBE.

In a tweet, GMA News correspondent Teresa Andrada earlier quoted Globe as saying the network outage started at around 8 p.m. Tuesday. Only selected numbers were affected, she said.

This is not the first time that Globe experienced network problems in the past few months.

In May, its services experienced downtime due to a fiber cut that downed its network in the Visayas and Mindanao.
